Specific reason for increasing cost
The original water supply scheme was constructed during the financial year 2009–10. However, based on current site conditions, the scheme has remained non-functional for the past 2–3 years. The primary reason for this disruption is the severely deteriorated condition of the existing pipeline infrastructure.
Discussions held with local residents and the Gram Pradhan revealed that the scheme was operational for only 1 to 1.5 years following its initial implementation. After retrofitting efforts, functionality was restored briefly, but lasted only 1 to 2 months, primarily due to multiple leakages within the village distribution network.
