Specific reason for increasing cost
"The original scheme was constructed during the year 2000–01, with a design period of 15 years as per the previous DPR. However, the design period has now exceeded by approximately 9 years, resulting in deterioration of infrastructure and reduced efficiency of the system.
This is a multi-Gram Panchayat (GP) scheme, and during the initial phase of implementation, the design was based on stand post-type water distribution. This approach is no longer sufficient to meet the current demand and service expectations.
As per the current condition, only 2 out of 5 (RVs) are partially functional. Moreover, during water supply operations through these RVs, multiple leakages are regularly observed in the main pipeline, indicating severe wear and tear and the need for urgent rehabilitation.
