Specific reason for increasing cost
The original water supply scheme was constructed during the year 2015–16, based on the demand and infrastructure requirements prevailing at that time.
As per the current layout, the scheme is divided into two zones to facilitate effective water distribution. However, during the initial implementation phase, only one Elevated Storage Reservoir (ESR) was constructed at the Zone-1 location. In contrast, Zone-2 has been receiving water supply directly from the tube well, without any intermediate storage or pressure regulation.
This direct supply system in Zone-2 has led to uneven water distribution, pressure fluctuations, and inadequate service coverage, particularly during peak demand periods. The absence of a dedicated ESR in Zone-2 has also restricted the ability to manage water storage and
